The Husqvarna Viking 5D™ Embroidery System is a suite of software designed for home embroiderers who own Husqvarna Viking (or Pfaff, under the same SVP group) embroidery machines. Unlike basic “organizer” software that simply sends designs to your machine, 5D allows you to edit, combine, monogram, and even digitize artwork into embroidery files. Note: Husqvarna Viking has largely transitioned to the newer 6D™ and now Designer’s Gallery 8 (or 9) software. However, 5D remains widely used because it was the last version before subscription-based models for some advanced features. Versions of 5D The “5D” system came in three primary tiers:
