Through qualitative analysis of self-reported incidents (n=47), we identify common triggers, coping mechanisms, and long-term psychosocial impacts. Our findings suggest that the awkward nipple exists at the intersection of thermoregulation, sympathetic nervous system activation, and acute social anxiety.
