Back in Zaun, the explosion draws the attention of a terrifying crime lord: . A former revolutionary and Vander’s old brother-in-arms, Silco was nearly drowned by Vander years ago for wanting to use violence and a new drug (Shimmer) to fight Piltover. Now, he runs Zaun’s underworld with a cold, serpentine intelligence. He wants the Hextech crystals to build a weapon. He captures Vander’s children.

Meanwhile, Vi and Caitlyn recover and go to the council. Vi demands an army to invade Zaun and kill Silco. The council refuses—until Jayce, enraged by Silco’s attack on a Piltover shipyard, decides to take matters into his own hands. He builds a massive Hextech hammer. The story reignites when a frustrated, now-teenage Jayce and a desperate Viktor conduct a secret experiment. Using a corrupted Shimmer-like mutation, Viktor begins to augment his own failing body, crossing a moral line. Meanwhile, a shimmer heist goes wrong, and Piltover’s new, earnest enforcer (a sharp-shooting, upper-class sheriff’s deputy) finds a single clue: the heist used old blue crystals.
