People live in gray walled cells, wearing identical grey jumpsuits. They cycle on stationary bikes to earn Merits, which buy food (synthetic apples), digital wallpaper, and ad-skipping. The only escape from the dreary cycling life is Hot Shot — a X Factor -style show where contestants perform for judges. Winners get a better life; losers go back to the bikes.
Liam (Toby Kebbell) has a grain. He can re-watch any moment — work meetings, sex, arguments — with perfect recall. At a dinner party, he senses tension between his wife Ffion (Jodie Whittaker, future Doctor Who) and a guest named Jonas. black mirror season 1
Unable to let go, Liam gets drunk and forces Jonas to show his grain’s recordings from a past party. He watches Ffion and Jonas having sex — around the time she would have conceived their daughter.

Prime Minister Michael Callow wakes up to news that Princess Susannah has been taken. A masked figure releases a video demanding that Callow perform a live act of bestiality by 4:00 PM — or the princess dies.
