Introduction & Anatomical Overview The C8 and T1 nerve roots are anatomically contiguous structures emerging from the spinal column at the cervicothoracic junction. The C8 root exits between the C7 and T1 vertebrae, while the T1 root exits between the T1 and T2 vertebrae.
