Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor (Pontevedra) → private collection (18th c.) → rediscovered in 1927 by Galician historian Xosé Filgueira Valverde. Currently held at the Museo de Pontevedra (MS 1/1928).
One of the earliest surviving codices produced entirely in Galicia outside the cathedral scriptoria of Santiago or Ourense. Offers key evidence for the rise of Galician-Portuguese as a written language in civil and religious contexts. The Portus Apostoli legend prefigures the later maritime cult of the Virxe da Peregrina. codex pontevedra
