Introduction Released in April 2019, CorelDRAW Technical Suite 2019 is a specialized version of Corel’s flagship graphics software, tailored specifically for technical illustrators, engineers, and manufacturing professionals. Unlike the standard CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, this edition focuses on creating complex technical documentation, assembly instructions, parts catalogs, and schematics.

It combines vector illustration, layout, and photo-editing tools with dedicated technical drawing features like 3D-to-2D conversion, advanced dimensioning, and support for legacy CAD formats. The 2019 release introduced several productivity enhancements: 1. Custom-designed UI for Technical Illustrators A new, optimized workspace hides general design tools and prioritizes technical drawing palettes, dimension tools, and asset management. 2. 3D View & Cross-Reference Manager One of the standout additions: you can import 3D models (STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, etc.) and automatically generate 2D orthographic or isometric views with hidden line removal. The Cross-Reference Manager allows linking callouts to Bill of Materials (BOM) data. 3. Enhanced Dimensioning Tools New baseline and ordinate dimensioning, plus automatic alignment of dimension lines. You can now set custom suffixes (e.g., “mm” or “±0.05”) globally. 4. STL Export for 3D Printing Technical illustrations can be exported as STL files for rapid prototyping, bridging the gap between documentation and physical models. 5. Auto-activate Shared Assets Teams using CorelDRAW.app (the web companion) could sync symbols, styles, and color palettes across users.
