I don’t have to choose between being seen as strong and being seen as soft. I can open a jar of pickled herring and twirl in a mirror. I can fix a flat tire and know exactly how to contour my jawline.

The best part of being a femboyish Dane is the functionality of the aesthetic. My platform boots? Waterproof. My mini backpack? It holds an emergency umbrella, a portable phone charger, and a cheese sandwich (because rugbrød is life). My nail polish? Matte black—it chips less when I’m fixing my bike chain. I am not a contradiction
