Fill a turkey baster or bulb syringe with warm (not boiling) water. Insert the tip into the drain hole and gently squirt water to loosen debris. If you don’t have a baster, use a funnel with a thin spout or carefully pour a small amount of water from a cup.
Insert a flexible brush into the hole, working it in and out gently. Avoid using hard metal tools like coat hangers, which can puncture the drain tube. Twist the brush to pull out gunk.
and replace any covers, shelves, and drawers.
Use a cloth to wipe away any standing water or food bits around the hole. If the hole is covered by a plastic clip or cover, gently remove it.
