The on-screen character—a low-poly, unnamed security guard in a blue umbrella uniform—started walking. Mark’s hands were off the keyboard. The game was playing itself. The guard passed through a digital door and emerged into Mark’s actual living room, rendered in jagged, low-resolution texture maps overlaid on reality.
