I just re-watched Episode 1 with English subs, and here’s the honest take: It’s a bit messy, a bit cliché, but somehow, you won’t want to hit pause.
If you are looking for a deep, realistic drama about body image, look elsewhere. Ugly Duckling Episode 1 is a "junk food" drama—light, sweet, slightly salty (thanks to Suea’s attitude), and over before you know it.
