The Coopers’ living room, evening. Sheldon is at the dining table, surrounded by three different notebooks, a TI-84 calculator, and a dismantled remote control. Missy is on the couch, flipping through a magazine upside down (she’s not really reading it). Mary is folding laundry, and George Sr. is watching TV with the volume very low.

"Then we pray. Or call FEMA."

"It’s a naming convention, Missy. VP1: front door. VP2: back door. VP3: the garage service door via a temporary egress corridor created by moving your clutter, Dad."
